Dr Chathuri Dissanayake qualified from University of Adelaide and undertook Intensive Care training through Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney, Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, Perth, and Fellowship at Guys and St Thomas’s Hospital, London and Nepean Hospital, Sydney. She is a Staff Specialist in the Intensive Care Service and a member of the ECMO service at RPAH. She has a keen interest in severe cardio-respiratory failure, echocardiography and extracorporeal cardio-respiratory supports. She is an examiner for the College of Intensive Care Medicine and a supervisor of training.

HEIKE KOELZOW MD FRCA EDICM FCICM FANZCA
Dr Heike Koelzow qualified from Ludwig-Maximilian-University, Munich, Germany 1990 and achieved her Medical Doctorate (M.D.)1997. Fellowship of the Royal College of Anaesthetists UK 1997, European Diploma in Intensive Care Medicine 2001, Fellowship of the College of Intensive Care Medicine of Australia and New Zealand and Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists 2004. She is a Senior Staff Specialist in Intensive Care Medicine, RPAH, Sydney and a VMO Anaesthetics Canterbury Hospital, Sydney. Dr Koelzow is Convenor for the BASIC Assessment and Support in Intensive Care Course at RPAH, Member of the Interdisciplinary Tracheostomy Team at RPAH and has an interest in Critical Care Echocardiography.
JESSICA LANE MBBS, Bachelor of Nursing, FCICM
Dr Jessica Lane graduated from the University of Sydney and undertook Intensive Care training through the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH) and the Wollongong Hospital, and Fellowship through RPAH. Dr Lane is a Staff Specialist at RPAH and co-ordinates the education, examination preparation and teaching programs. She is an examiner for the College of Intensive Care Medicine and a supervisor of training
PAUL PHIPPS MBBS BPharm PhD FRACP, FCICM
A/Professor Paul Phipps graduated from the University of Sydney and after completing his PhD undertook thoracic medicine and ICU training at RPAH and the John Radcliffe Hospital, UK. He is the Director of the ICU at Chris O'Brien Lifehouse. He is a Clinical Associate Professor of Intensive Care Medicine, University of Sydney, and was Director Intensive Care Services, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney, as well as Director Intensive Care Services, Manly, Mona Vale and Ryde Hospitals, Sydney.
NUDRAT RASHID MBBS FCICM
Dr Nudrat Rashid qualified at Ahmadu Bello Hospital, Nigeria and undertook ICU training at Royal North Shore Hospital and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. Dr Rashid is a Staff Specialist, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital Intensive Care Services and is also the Donation Medical Specialist at RPAH. She has a keen interest in Education and Donation medicine.
TIMOTHY SOUTHWOOD MBBS MSc FCICM
Dr Timothy Southwood graduated from the University of Sydney and commenced Intensive Care training at Blacktown, North Shore and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. Dr Southwood is a Staff Specialist in the Royal Prince Alfred Intensive Care Service where he maintains a keen interest in education and simulation, including Cardiothoracic Advanced Life Support and and a leader of the ECMO service and was a VMO, DMS and Director of ICU at the Mater Hospital, North Sydney.
SANJAY TARVADE MBBS MD (Medicine) MRCP (UK) FCICM DDU (Critical Care)
Dr Sanjay Tarvade qualified from the University of Mumbai and undertook physician training with the Royal College of Medicine London. He undertook ICU training at Nepean Hospital and also attained his DDU – Diploma in Diagnostic Ultrasound (Critical Care). Dr Tarvade is a Staff Specialist at the Royal Prince Alfred Intensive Care Service, is a VMO at Strathfield Private Hospital and is the Supervisor for trainees undertaking DDU (Critical Care).
RICHARD TOTARO MBBS FRACP FCICM
Dr. Richard Totaro is the Director of the Intensive Care Service at RPAH, the ICU lead of the ECMO service at RPAH and a VMO at Strathfield Private Hospital and was the Director of the Intensive Care Unit at the Chris O'Brien Lifehouse until 2022. He is a member the General Clinical RCA Review Committee of the NSW CEC, member of the Drugs and Therapeutics committee and Chair of the Rights of Private Practice committee at RPAH. He graduated from UNSW and trained at Royal North Shore Hospital, The Princess Alexandra Children's Hospital, Camperdown and Rush Presbyterian-St Lukes Hospitals in Chicago, Illinois. Dr Totaro has an interest in extracorporeal respiratory and cardiac support 🏍️.
